Joint Drupa appearance of Zanders Premium and Lana

5th April, 2012
– The take-over of the division Zanders Premium Papers by Reflex Premium Papier GmbH, a subsidiary of Hahnemühle FineArt Gmbh, is beginning to bear fruit. At the Drupa (03rd to 16th May, 2012), the company will showcase itself jointly with Straßbourg based Lana Papier Spéciaux, another Hahnemühle subsidiary.

Both companies produce and merchandise premium papers for the graphic industry and at the Drupa, they are going to present portfolios complementing one another, thus covering any imaginable graphic application. While the Lana activities mainly focused on the French market, to date, the Zanders Premium papers, featuring products such as Efalin, Zeta or Elefantenhaut, are particularly well established as a strong brand in the German speaking world. “Now, we use the Drupa for demonstrating our broad competence in the premium-paper market,” explains Michael Siekiera, Managing Director of Reflex, Lana and Hahnemühle. “Based on our high-quality products, our product innovation and the premium and FineArt paper product range created by the merger, we strive for both national and international growth. For us, the Drupa represents the ideal platform for convincing the international public of our competitiveness.”

Please find the joint booth of Reflex and Lana in hall 7.1 A31.

Hahnemuehle and private investors take over M-real Zanders’ premium paper business based in Dueren, Germany

13 January 2012 – Walzmuehle AG of Dueren, Germany will buy the Dueren-based premium paper business of M-real-Zanders-GmbH. In the future, the division will operate under the name Reflex Premium Papier GmbH. With the sale, the previous Zanders business has found a midsized owner, of which 50 per cent belongs to Hahnemuehle FineArt GmbH of Dassel, Germany, with the remaining shares in the hands of Hahnemuehle management and other private investors. The new owners acquire the production facilities and trademark rights for Zanders-Premium Papers. Approximately 100 employees in Dueren will be taken over. Legal transfer will take place at the latest on 15 February 2012.

Under Hahnemuehle FineArt’s leadership, the combination of Reflex-Premium Papier and Hahnemuehle’s Lana Papiers Spéciaux of Strasbourg, France creates a new alliance that is intended to become one of Europe’s leading premium paper manufacturers, with a product range including FineArt, security and technical specialty papers. Established in 1584, Hahnemuehle has subsidiaries in the most important global markets as well as a worldwide sales network for art, photography, graphic applications and technical specialty papers. Reflex Premium Papier will continue to sell its own products via fine paper merchants under the umbrella of “Zanders Premium Papiere”. The main points of the takeover were decided in consultation with the works council.
